Summary of insurance:
SafeEnterprise provides a broad definition of coverage against
technology errors and omissions (E&O) claims, including advertising
and personal injury, breach of security and Internet media liability.
Available limits:
From $500,000 to $10 million. Higher coverage limits are available
on request.
Minimum premium / deductible:
From $2,500.
Coverage highlights:
- Errors and Omissions (E&O) coverage – a broad
definition of computer systems and information
technology-related professional services are covered
under the policy.
- Broad coverage for Intellectual Property risk,
advertising injury and personal injury including,
but not limited to, defamation, libel, slander, product
disparagement, trade libel; invasion or infringement
of privacy; plagiarism; infringement of copyright, domain
name, or the dilution or infringement of trademark.
- Internet content liability.
- Breach in network security. In contrast to coverage
available elsewhere the policy includes breach of
security in relation to denial of service, unauthorized
access, and theft of data arising from hacker attacks
or a computer virus.
- Inadvertent transmission of a virus or other
malicious code.
- Breach of confidence or misuse of information.
- Free online risk assessments by leading security
experts, NetDiligence, where there is a network
security exposure (only if revenues exceed
$10 million or if the risk is referred). Assessments are
usually conducted online and are unobtrusive. The
Insured is given copies of all assessment reports.
- Underwritten by ACE Global Markets, the Lloyd’s
based insurance operation of the ACE Group of
Companies. The overall rating for ACE’s Lloyd’s
operation is: A- (Excellent) A.M. Best and A (Strong)
Standard & Poor’s.
- Where necessary, coverage can be customized
on an individual producer basis to assist differentiation.
Such customized coverages include: cost of contract
correction, choice of defense counsel, punitive damages
and injunctive relief.
